Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-03-26. This Privacy Policy describes how Roam Report (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use roamreport.gg (the “Site”) or subscribe to our email newsletter.

Who we are

Roam Report publishes esports analysis and related content. The Site is built on WordPress and may be hosted by a third-party hosting provider. If you email us or contact us through links on the Site, we receive the information you choose to send.

Information we collect

Newsletter and email

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address and related subscription data are collected and processed by our email service provider (currently Brevo). Brevo’s own privacy notice applies to how they process subscriber data on our behalf; see Brevo Privacy Policy. We use subscriber information to send the newsletter, measure engagement (such as opens and clicks when available), maintain our list, and comply with legal obligations.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in marketing emails.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically receive certain technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, general location derived from IP, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. WordPress and our host may set cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, session management, or Site functionality. We or our host may also use analytics or performance tools if enabled; those tools are governed by their respective policies.

Comments and forms

If the Site allows comments or contact forms, we collect the information you submit (for example, name, email, and message content) to respond and to operate the Site.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Site and newsletter
  • Send transactional or service messages (e.g., subscription confirmations)
  • Measure readership and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms

Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where required, we rely on: contract (to provide the newsletter you requested); legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Site, understand aggregate readership, and communicate with you about the service); and consent where we ask for it (for example, certain cookies or marketing, if applicable). You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Sharing of information

We share information with service providers who process data on our instructions, including email delivery (e.g., Brevo), hosting, security, and analytics vendors we use. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger), subject to applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some U.S. state laws treat certain advertising or analytics cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; we describe your choices below.

Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Newsletter data is retained according to our provider’s tools and our list hygiene practices until you unsubscribe or we delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

General

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your request.

You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

U.S. state privacy rights (including California)

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights, such as to know what personal information we collect, to delete personal information, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising and certain profiling, where applicable. We honor applicable opt-out signals where required by law. To submit a request, contact us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International transfers

If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites or embeds (including social platforms). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
